That was a little more palatable of a fantasy week for us, with many of the top guys starting to find their rhythms. We now enter week three, a make or break week for any team. Go 3-0 and the crown's within reach. 2-1, optimism starts to bound. 1-2 start, no biggie, just win the next two. 0-3...well try and do something drastic soon to turn it around while there's still time.
Things are really going to start heating up soon fantasy football universe, and you're in the right spot to talk about some of our favorite starts, sits and sleepers for the third weekend of NFL football. Starting with a personal favorite:
Starts
Lamar Jackson vs. Indianapolis: The Colts got diced by Trevor Lawrence in week one and just let rookie CJ Stroud throw for 384 last Sunday. Lamar's looked as sharp as ever to start off 2023, fire him up as this week's QB1
Matthew Stafford @ Cincinnati: Defensively Cincinnati can't stop anyone right now, while their offense has been unable to sustain drives to help them out. Matthew Stafford's look completely revitalized through the first two games and is going to shine on Monday night in the jungle

Josh Jacobs vs. Pittsburgh: It's no secret, Josh Jacobs has been horrible. Inefficient, indecisive, no running room. He's been able to salvage himself slightly in the passing game, but these aren't the fringe RB1 numbers we were looking for. This has to be a get right spot at home against the worst run defense in NFL
Kyren Williams @ Cincinnati: Again, the Bengals aren't stopping anyone. Gus Edwards and Justice Hill were each viable fantasy starters against them week two. Kyren's all alone in the Rams backfield, now that Cam Akers is up in Minnesota. Feeling a banner day for the newly anointed RB1
Amari Cooper vs. Tennessee: No more Nick Chubb, which is going to force the Browns to pass at least a little more, regardless of how Jerome Ford does. Cooper's been the one consistent positive recipient of Deshaun Watson in Cleveland, he'll put up some big numbers versus this terrible secondary
Nico Collins @ Jacksonville: Raise your hand if you thought Nico Collins would be second in the league in receiving yards through two weeks. Not a hand in the bunch... CJ Stroud's favorite target is set for another productive afternoon against a shitty Jacksonville secondary in a game they'll need to pass a lot in. Easy start, seemingly for the rest of the season

Kyle Pitts @ Detroit: I'm the commissioner of the Kyle Pitts Bust Club. But he has to have a good game occasionally to justify the hype he somehow still receives. A potentially high scoring affair combined with the fact that Detroit's allowed the most yards to tight ends leads me to think this could be one of those breakout days
Hayden Hurst @ Seattle: The Seahawks also struggle with covering this position. Now that Andy Dalton's likely getting the nod for the Panthers, look for him to target his fellow ginger early and often as Seattle blows up his pockets
Sits
Jared Goff vs. Atlanta: Love Jared Goff, but just not sure he's going to have a huge day if Amon Ra St. Brown is hampered. Both teams should be able to run the ball with some ease, really cutting down his passing opportunities
Joe Burrow vs. Los Angeles Rams: Burrow may not even play. Personally, I don't think he should, but the Bengals have backed themselves into a corner here. If Shiesty does suit up, it'll be at far less then 100%, as his numbers will reflect
D'Andre Swift @ Tampa Bay: Swift's performance last Thursday was meteoric, but the Vikings don't have Vita Vea on their line. Now that Kenneth Gainwell appears to be back in the fold as well, don't expect an encore Monday night
Jerome Ford vs. Tennessee: This season's first waiver wire darling gets a brutal draw in his first start with the Titans front seven. This group just doesn't allow rushing yards, and with more favorable matchups through the air, it wouldn't be surprising Cleveland to veer away from the ground game some
Hollywood Brown vs. Dallas: This matchup just got a little less imposing with the recent Trevon Diggs injury...shit you absolutely despise seeing. Regardless, can't imagine a ton of people were starting Hollywood out there, at least not with a smile on their faces. Stephon Gilmore's going to be glued to him all day, really limiting his ceiling
Garrett Wilson @ New York Jets: Zach Wilson. Plus he was talking some smack about needing to end this Patriots winning streak. He'll be keyed in on Sunday by Bill, gotta leave the star wideout on the bench in this one

Dalton Kincaid/Dawson Knox @ Washington: Love me some Dalton Kincaid. Dawson Knox can be productive too. One of the better tandems at tight end in the league. But the Commanders defend the position well, making neither of these guys trustworthy
Kylen Granson @ Baltimore: Not the flashiest of takes here, sure, but Granson's been streamable at a sad tight end position. Contending with Roquan Smith and a tropical storm really dampens an already iffy outlook for the Colts tight end
Sleepers
Kenny Pickett @ Las Vegas: I like the under in this game, Pickett will be down arguably his top wideout in Diontae Johnson, they're on the road. A number of reasons why the Steelers' QB isn't going to do much Sunday afternoon. But I've just got a gut feeling that he's due for a nice day in the desert...we'll see if the ole heart or head prevails
Joshua Kelley @ Minnesota: Tennessee's front seven wasn't kind to Joshua Kelley, but it's not an easy assignment for any running back. Minnesota's run defense is much more tender for Kelley, who resumes the RB1 role in Austin Ekeler's absence. He should get some volume at a minimum
Josh Downs @ Baltimore: Bad weather, bad cornerbacks, a backup QB who'll check it down. Sounds like a recipe for Josh Downs to have a productive PPR display. 5/40 should be in play, acceptable in a desperate pinch

Taysom Hill @ Green Bay: For the record, I don't like this play for Taysom Hill's tight end ability, but more so for the work I think he's going to get in the backfield. Jamaal Williams is out, leaving a committee of Tony Jones and Kendre Miller. And then Hill, who led the way with 75 yards on nine carries a week ago after Williams exited the game. The Saints will deploy him a number of ways too, making him a really nice flex option
