Based in Salisbury, Maryland, Chopping Lines was founded in the summer of 2022. A couple of buddies had toyed with the idea of a podcast in previous few months, but decided to take a chance and make it reality. With the show premiering today, let's get to know some of the people you'll be hearing:
Ted Lutz- The co-host and lead blogger for Chopping lines, Ted is a current high school PE teacher and varsity basketball coach and former varsity football and baseball player. He's a dog father, a husband and a recent girl dad. Lutz is a diehard Ravens and Orioles fan who's also the fastest solitaire player in American history.
Doc Ward- Hailing from Maryland's Eastern Shore, we have our second co-host Doc Ward. Our golf expert of the show, Doc keeps his prowess sharp on the course and of the sport. Definitely tune in for the PGA content as we're smack in the middle of the season. The Doc is also a fan of the Baltimore sports teams.
Producer Joe- To paraphrase Will Ferrell from The Campaign, "Our producer is this podcast's backbone." Joe and Ted met on the junior varsity baseball team and have been boys since. In addition to producing the show, Joe also created the logos for this podcast and Talking Rounds, hosted by UFC featherweight Tucker Lutz and Obs. Producer Joe's the NHL expert of the show and loves his Capitals.
Correspondent Kevin- The trivia man! Based out of Baltimore, Kev is an integral part of the show, supplying quality trivia questions and good insights for the blog. A former high school ball player in his own right (with Ted and Producer Joe), The Correspondent makes Ted's Orioles fandom look modest. Big Baltimore + Maryland guy as a whole. Keep an ear and eye out for some of Kevin's contributions.
